BORNEO and our new LIFE

Welcome to BORNEO, where ex pat's relax and get pampered for like hardly any coin.
Right so we are living in a hotel room,SMALL hotel room, 3 bedroom but TINY. We have our HOTEL meals paid for, our laundry done and room made up everyday. Sure SOUND great huh, maybe for a single person or couple would be fantastic but with 2 five yr olds and a nearly 12 mth old its not so great at all.

BUT, we have found 2 massive shopping malls with "timezone" type places in them games galore, we have found a family hush run on Tuesdays 4 k's my boys did this week so proud of them, and they will do swimming tues and Thursdays.

Its really hard to get into a routine in a hotel room, and we have holidays coming up hmmmm will be interesting.

So back to the ummmm pampering: So we have tried numerous times to be pampered but something ALWAYS comes up, i need a babantu ( a house keeper). So Dr Wendy and i tried to have a pedicure last week at the local salon at a big 4 story mall here, we took Buddha (he was asleep in the pram) great so this will work, but we just sit down and bamm wake up time, then all he wanted to do was run around trying to hold him on my lap screaming wriggling, chucking a mental so that was that sorry have to go, paid full price for something that i didn't even get the good bit to. :(

Rito, so Sunday ...... def pampering day Zed home gal's ready to go to majesties (the place we have be wanting to go since we arrived) so Zed and the other hubby's playing golf at 1, 9 holes they'll be done by 3.30pm then us gals going to get rubbed, pressed, and most of all PAMPERED with NO children, well as just like the other weeks NOTHING go's as planned and the golf club had no carts, so they had to walk so yep u guessed it they were going to take ages longer, so Mr D Dr Wendys parntner said oh you gals go ill baby sit as long as Buddha doesn't poop ill be good well thats ok cause he pooped this morning, hmmmm the house is full with 10 kids, a chicken cooking in the oven and bridesmaids the movie on tv bahahaha House hubby came to mind.

But seriously what man would do that? MR D that's who, but I'm sure next time golf is offered he will choose to play. :)
to be continued ... oh the funny part is yet to come :)

part 2, them air flight to borneo

OK so i left off where we were just getting on our first plane, well i thought it was going to be fairly easy to fly with the kids, we booked flight for the times we thought Buddha would sleep and packed the twins loads of games and book plus the games and movie on the plane.

well we had a baby that just wanted to walk around the plane, and 2 boys that were not the slightest bit interested in the games or movies its a little flight to Brisbane then 10 hours to Singapore- i must say they were pretty good, even i was over planes by the end of it so i could understand how they felt...

so next stop in Singapore, i tried my hardest to spend some money on myself but the only people that spent anything were the kids they had saved up $200 each over the past few months and went wild in the massive toys are us store.

so 1 day in Singapore then onto Borneo we go.
we arrived in Borneo and were greeted by surprise by Zed's new boss and partner at our hotel front desk. first meeting i think i came over somewhat quiet, and maybe shy only cause i was OVER being in confined spaces and on planes

so up to our hotel room which would be our home for a few weeks. So far so good.

Zed straight to work on the Monday WOW what was i to do ??? well the first week i was shown around by a few people that i knew here already plus my new friend super W, she is awesome very much like myself but smarter.... so we got loads done we shopped, we checked out our house's that hadn't even started to be renovated yet, we enrolled the twins in school, lots done!
although we had dramas with everything we did, school well that was a mess around and a half but all sorted yay!

some funny stuff to come in the next one stand by :

about us and the move from australia

Well This being my first entry I'm not sure where to start really.

So we are a fairly normal family of 5, including me Natasha, i am a 30ish year old who is very LOUD, out spoken, opinionated, and sometime rude mum. I have 3 very beautiful boys, twins, Boof and master T, who are 5. And the youngest of our bunch is Buddha who is nearly 1.

Last but not least is my amazing husband Zed, who is a 30 something smart, intelligent, beautiful, somewhat quiet person. (yes totally opposites you can see some great blogs coming cant you ?)

So we live, correction lived in a beautiful part of Australia, north Qld yep cowboys, croc's and lots of flies oh there are some good things there too, some great family and friends, the reef, car cruises, and umm that's about it.
So we have been living in a motel in Borneo, Indonesia for the past 2 weeks. Lets go back to how all this started,

Zed has worked all over the place, including some mines in Australia, Antarctica looking after some machines and Indonesia. he was working over here for a little over a year and finished up around 19 months ago. We were all planning on moving over then but we fell pregnant with our youngest Buddha, when i was pregnant i was so so so sick that the doctor told me he was not letting me move to Indonesia so that stopped that.

so then about 2 months ago Zed gets a phone call from a guy that use to be his boss years and years ago who is now an international recruiting guy asking if he was keen on heading back over, if so he had the perfect job in town hardly any travel and all expenses paid bar food.
Wow this could get us heaps ahead in such a short amount of time, so obviously we took the job, it was a hard move with 3 little men, and the flight over wasn't crash hot with them either but we made it.

So all bags packed, air freight shipped a week and half before us, and we are on our way to the airport with the 3 mothers, (i have 2 mothers as my mum is a lesbian but that's a story for anther blog) we get into the airport my mum already bawling, then time to go threw the gates oh wow tears anyone say a river? lol everyone was crying except the 3 lil men who had no idea why everyone was so upset, boof says to me "mummy why is grandma talking funny?" lol "because mate grandma is sad she wont see us everyday" so that sad goodbye over and out of the way on the plane we get well the first one anyway.

stay tuned for part 2 coming soon
